The 495 Express Lanes Extension expanded both the northbound and southbound Lanes by about 2.5 miles to near the American Legion Bridge. The Extension also introduced new access points at the George Washington Memorial Parkway and the Dulles Toll Road.
When traveling northbound towards the end of the 495 Express Lanes, remember to stay in the right lane to reach the general purpose lanes. The left lane becomes a dedicated exit lane to the George Washington Memorial Parkway.
