What you'll need to use the Express Lanes will depend on your choice of travel.

I Drive Myself

I Drive Myself

You can use the Express Lanes anytime.

All you need is an E-ZPass® to pay your tolls. You do not need a switchable E-ZPass® unless you plan to carpool.

I Ride a Motorcycle

I Ride a Motorcycle

You can use the Express Lanes anytime
without paying a toll.

You do not need an E-ZPass® for your motorcycle.

I Drive a Taxi

I Drive a Taxi

You can use the Express Lanes anytime.

You will need an E-ZPass® FlexSM to drive on the lanes toll-free when you have three people (including you) in your taxi. If you have less than three people in the taxi, you will pay the current toll.

I Operate a Bus

You can use the Express Lanes without paying a toll anytime, although you will need to have an E-ZPass® in your bus.

I Ride in a Carpool

You can use the Express Lanes for free as long as there are three people (including you) in the car.

You will need an E-ZPass® FlexSM to let us know you are carpooling so we do not charge you.

You can use the Express Lanes for free as long as there are three or more people (including you) in the vehicle.

You will need an E-ZPass® FlexSM to ensure you are not charged a toll.

Carpools can use the lanes without paying a toll. If you plan to carpool on the Express Lanes, you will need three people in the vehicle and an E-ZPass® FlexSM (available summer 2012). The E-ZPass® FlexSM is your way to tell the Express Lanes operator that you are carpooling and ensure you are not charged a toll.
